Gerry Miles is a founding member of the New England Motor Press Association, a two-time past-President of the organization who created the membership's first directory and first put the NEMPA Winter Awards into a multi-media format via PowerPoint presentation. He currently serves NEMPA as its secretary. An ink-stained member of ye olde newspaper industries before the interweb became a fad that never faded, he was the auto editor for decades at the Portsmouth Herald producing a weekly column and special sections, contributed to the Boston Globe, authored the New England Auto Show press kits, and the NEMPA membership directory among other tasks. A third pedal in the wheel well is welcomed after learning how to drive a manual on a 1968 Volvo144 while giving his dad minor cases of whiplash.
